Irrfan Khan, Bollywood's Top Export!

Irrfan Khan, an actor who you may recognize from movies like Slumdog Millionaire, Namesake (starring Kal Penn), or Darjeeling Limited, is a force to be reckoned with.  His recent portrayal of character Sunil in "In Treatment" on HBO has opened him up to a wider audience, the American Television market.  The truth is he's been acting for a very long time in popularized Bollywood cinema (since 1988 according to IMDB).  His ability to convey emotion and feeling through dialogue with the grace of a ballerina is winning hearts everywhere.  A simple search of twitter for "Irrfan Khan" easily shows that Irrfan Khan is becoming a household name for HBO viewers (shown below).

It's only before time, that you'll see the brilliant actor in a lead role with A-list actors and hopefully win some awards.  His skill and grasp of the stories behind characters are remarkable.  I first came upon his brilliant acting in Namesake.   His acting gives you a feeling of closeness to his characters.  You feel as though you can empathize easily without reason, grabing at your emotions directing you how to react (Irrfan Khan should definitely try a hand at directing).  Below you can watch a clip of his portrayal of Sunil on "In Treatment."  Season finale is next Monday, but you can catch all of Sunil's and other patients on "In Treatment" with OnDemand.
